Max D. JACOB, Artiste Peintre-Graphiste belge, de formation autodidacte, né à Ixelles en 1954 - Bertrix 2007.
Est attiré dès son jeune âge par l'Art décoratif et le dessin (encre de Chine en 1976).
Peint à la gouache vers 1970, à l'huile en 1979 et par infographie ( + animation ) en 1998.
Influencé par le Psychédélique, l'Ecologie, les philosophies bouddhiste et autres, ainsi que par divers voyages en Afrique du nord et surtout en Asie (Inde, Népal, Sri Lanka et ThaÏlande).
En 1976 il rejoint le "Groupe Expérimental d'Art Universaliste" (G.E.A.U.) pendant une dizaine d'années.
Son nom ainsi que d’autres Artistes du G.E.A.U. sont cités dans "De Belgische Beeldende Kunstenaars uit de 19de en 20ste eeuw", dans "Le Dictionnaire des Artistes Plasticiens de Belgique des 19e et 20e siècles" ainsi que dans "Deux Siècles de Signatures d'Artistes de Belgique" de Paul PIRON.
