Nela Vicente nasceu em 1961.
Inicia os seus estudos nas Artes Plásticas em 1975.
Possui formação superior em Arte pela Volkshochschule de Düsseldorf – Alemanha, cidade onde viveu durante 12 anos e onde também tirou o curso de História de Arte e Pintura, sob a orientação do mestre Peter Storch, no Kunstmuseum.
Participa em exposições desde 1980 e expõe regularmente em vários países da Europa, nomeadamente em Espanha, França, Áustria, Bélgica e Portugal e também na América.
Foi premiada com várias medalhas e menções honrosas internacionais.
Está representada em coleções particulares em vários países, nomeadamente na Alemanha, Espanha e Portugal.
É membro da ALA – Academia de Letras e Artes
Editou o livro de pintura, poesia e música, com o título "Alma Animal" da Pé de Página Editores.
