BIOGRAPHY:
Francisco Vidal grew up in Barranquilla, Colombia. after attending for tree years School of fine art -Bellas Artes Facultity, he worked in his studio in Barranquilla and in 1969 hi left to New York City to open his horizont and have more oportunity. In 1984 he was honor with a grant from the Jerome Foundation in New York City for Study Lithograpy.
Also in 1984 another Scholarship for a studio in National and International Studios Program, project Studios One(P.S.1) for two years from 1984 to 1986 in long Island City, New York
In 1992 gain a Scholarship for work with a prize a $5.000,oo from The Foundation MidAtlantic Arts Foundation National Endowment for The Arts regional Scholarship, Baltimore, Maryland.
Hi invested this money in a project his first Limited Edition of Serigraphy ( 100 and 20 a/p) the Game of the Coronel in a Studio two art graphs in Bogota", Colombia with a dealer and friend Jairo Quintero gallery of Barranquilla, Colombia
He exhibit his paintings in Galleries and Museums in new York City and another city's in U.S.A, also in Mexico, Monterrey (MARCO) hi is in the collection, Colombia, Italy, Spain and SouthAmerica.
His works encompasses Nude, landscape, portraiture,figure,still life, i painting in a figurative - expressionist style,elegant and color ful with the Classic genre like nude, still life, figures in my own visual dialogue Francisco Vidal
