Born in Jogja, Java, Indonesia, on 02/08/1973
Graduated from Technology School in Jogja, He came to Bali in 1998 and learned painting with one of his best friend, Adek, Master in Realism Painting.
What I call ‘The Javanese Crew’ in Ubud, is a group of cool dudes, Old Vespa Travelling Lovers, staying in Bali, because the place is more creative, powerful and chill-out than Java. Religion in Bali is an mix of Hinduism and Buddhism while Java is mostly Islamic. Many of these boys are painters. Bandrek now continues his creation process learning abstract painting with Agustian (an other artist of JHI group, check Artists Menu).
He did already 2 majors exhibitions in Bali, Ubud Open Air 2002 and Akuna Matata 2004.
He is fully committed to Abstract Painting since 2001, and his paintings are more and more engaged.
Has a permanent Gallery called ‘Om Studio’ , in Ubud with Agustian & Adek.
