Luigi Maria De Rubeis was born in Pescara, Italy, and currently resides between Hammamet and Rome. He began his artistic journey by attending the Art High School of Chieti, where he honed his skills under the guidance of esteemed mentors. Subsequently, he furthered his education at the Academy of Fine Arts of L'Aquila, studying under renowned masters such as Gino Marotta, Piero Sadun, Carmelo Bene, and Mario Ceroli.

De Rubeis's passion for architecture led him to excel academically, graduating with honors from the Faculty of Architecture in Pescara. His dedication to education extended to teaching Pictorial Decoration at the Art High School of Lanciano/Chieti for an impressive tenure of 30 years.

Alongside his teaching career, De Rubeis pursued a successful career as a freelance architect, specializing in renovations, interior design, and industrial design. However, his true calling lay in painting, where he distinguished himself as an Italian painter of remarkable talent. His work has garnered acclaim through numerous national and international painting competitions, showcasing his proficiency and artistic vision.

De Rubeis's paintings have been exhibited in prestigious galleries across Italy and abroad, including Canada, Japan, Germany, and France. His artistry transcends boundaries, earning him a place in private galleries, museums, and foundations around the world.

Rooted in a deep appreciation for classical techniques, De Rubeis's painting style reflects his intensive study of 17th-century art, emphasizing technique, color, and preparation of the support. However, his work also embodies the essence of the new figuration movement, blending realism with a conceptual approach, all while demonstrating an innate passion for the craft.
