Véronique Ducreux is a French illustrator born in 1958. She graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre as a costume designer. Her father transmitted to her his fascination for the images of Dulac, Rackham, Kay Nielsen. Later, her theatrical experience gave her a deep sense of dramatization.
Trained by her father from the age of 8 at the Union Des Arts Plastiques de Saint-Denis, she learned drawing through live models. Her illustrations are entirely handmade and most often in graphite. The realization of a single image can take her several days. Véronique has worked for a long time with a publisher, illustrating tales and stories for children.
