Yahia Ouled Moussa is a French artist and designer born in Algiers in 1962. He was only 4 years old when his family moved to France and settled in Lyon. When he came of age, he decided to move to Paris where he studied interior design. A real revelation came to him: design. Passionate about old objects, he became known in this artistic microcosm as a creator who gave them a second chance. His mission is to recreate them in order to reveal their true potential.

He continued his apprenticeship in a cabinetmaking workshop specializing in the restoration of antique furniture. The richness of classical French and Italian furniture from the 17th and 18th centuries, as well as the ingenuity and subtlety of Chinese oriental furniture, confirmed his interest in furniture, and more particularly in chairs. He then realized his first prototypes in parallel with the creation of furniture for individuals.

Today, Yahia Ouled Moussa also creates numerous ink drawings on paper. His minimalist-inspired, refined plant compositions have found a place of choice in the elegant interiors of private collectors around the world.
