Vivi Menna is a traveling artist who for 15 years painted the universe of the Amazonian Man, his culture and poetry. She entered the universe of festivals, moving them away from localism to give them a universal dimension with his pictorial work considered as a means of communication between these two worlds.
Vivi Menna has a master's degree in Semiotics of Culture from the Pontifical University of São Paulo and her dissertation dealt with her paintings on the festivals and memories of traditional peoples.
In Brazil she was working as a Journalism and Advertising teacher coordinating extension projects in the Amazon and traveling with her students along the rivers to create narratives about the traditional lifestyle of people who live between forests and rivers
Here in Australia Vivi is doing the same. She is living and painting about the nomadic and adventurous lifestyle of the Australian who crosses the country in all types of vehicles and sailboats. The other theme that interests her are the parties and rites of Aboriginal culture.
