Fin 2015, après un changement de vie, j’ai découvert par hasard la sculpture sur argile : je me suis arrêtée devant la vitrine d’un sculpteur de Montpellier et lui ai demandé comment il parvenait à créer des bustes de personnages. Il m’a conseillé d’acheter de l’argile, ce que j’ai fait. Depuis le modelage de cette noble et vivante matière est devenue ma passion, ma thérapie…Je me suis alors exercée au corps humain, dans ses détails, en me documentant sur internet et au travers de livres illustrés. J’ai ensuite pris des cours pour maîtriser la technique ( par exemple ne pas laisser une bulle d’air enfermée dans l’œuvre au risque de la faire exploser à la cuisson !).
Dès la première année, j’ai pu participer à une exposition sur le thème de Mandela, suite à un appel aux artistes. Ce fut le moment de créer un buste représentant Nelson Mandela ainsi que deux autres œuvres sur le même thème ( un poing enchaîné traversant un mur ainsi que deux mains, l’une blanche, l’autre noire, formant un Coeur) .
Je continue de créer selon mon état d’esprit du moment . La création est pour moi un moment où je peux transmettre, partager, ce qui me vient du plus profond de mon âme ...
