Guido Maria Filippi nasce a Roma il 4 Settembre del 1954.
Professionalmente si muove su due binari paralleli, ma coincidenti nella medesima persona.
L’autore consegue nel 1980 la laurea in Medicina, segue successivamente il triennio di Ingegneria, lavora per due anni a Parigi presso il Laboratoire de Neurophysiologie du College de France svolgendo attività di ricerca sul funzionamento del Sistema Nervoso e dei muscoli.
Attualmente è Professore Associato in Fisiologia Umana presso l’Università Cattolica di Roma dove unisce l’attività di didattica a quella di ricerca.
Lo stesso autore segue, negli stessi anni ‘70, l’insegnamento di Ferruccio Ferrazzi presso la Scuola delle Mura, da questi diretta, sviluppando la tecnica del disegno, della tempera e, successivamente, dell’olio e dell’acrilico.
Continuerà negli anni, in parallelo alla ricerca in ambito neurofisiologico, la sua ricerca pittorica in modo tanto autonomo, quanto continuativo ed intenso, lavorando su formati anche cospicui.
