About the author
Born in Manhattan in 1964, after New York I traveled from Island to Island. Early childhood in Bermuda, my adolescence which I enjoy in New Caledonia, I currently live in Ile de France.
Self-taught artist, I practice different techniques such as acrylic, ink , bic and oil pastel and my favorite medium is paper. Surrounded by essences of asp and turpentine, there is a special atmosphere in my studio.
I only obey my desire to paint, it is a need that grips me and which amplifies until the moment when I sometimes take a black pencil or I simply choose a color and I start on paper. The subject arrives at that moment, and other oil pastel colors follow. I work with a brush, a soft cloth and a finger to better feel the texture, play with shades, modify or soften a line. I stay up until dawn without realizing it. Music accompanies me into my perfumed world. I express what I feel. I like to paint, I like to find myself alone in my studio, an exquisite moment of solitude which opens up to freedom.
