About the author
Annie Vandemalle studied architecture in Lille, in the north of France where she was born. Then, after obtaining her diploma, she took part in the lessons given at the Van der Kelen Higher Institute of Painting in Brussels in 2000. After having lived for 8 years in a Buddhist center in the heart of Savoy where she made the traditional three-year retreat, she then enrolled in the Avignon Heritage School and graduated in September 2014.
"Through all these stages of training, art has always been present in my universe and I have always drawn or created... Today I feel the need to explore a new universe in terms of creation and especially to I remember this phrase that my retreat master said one day when he came to visit us in the meditation center: “Immensity is to space what eternity is to time”.
My main motivation? Let yourself be in the creative process... Let the energies that you receive from "nowhere else" or "I don't know where" penetrate and, thanks to our body and our power of realization, the materialize on paper, canvas or any other medium, being in this immense opening that is eternity."
