Мне нравится смотреть на окружающий мир. И видеть. Я пытаюсь изобразить то, что вижу. Красками на холсте. Я думаю, эта техника соответствует моему характеру и темпераменту. Я люблю искусство — музыку, литературу, фотографию, кино. Но именно через живопись я выражаю свое отношение к миру и определяю свое место в этом мире. Процесс увлекает и радует. Результат – не всегда.Что касается манеры, стиля. Какой я? Может быть посмотрев мои работы, это проще понять, чем описать словами. Во всяком случае, это результат моей эволюции, которая, надеюсь, еще продолжается.
В юности мы все – революционеры, в зрелые годы – консерваторы. А если попробовать наоборот? Меня учили на образцах классического искусства и Возрождения, затем русской реалистической школы, французского импрессионизма. Самостоятельно я открыл для себя «Мир искусства», «Бубновый валет», «Голубую розу», фовистов. Открытия продолжаются. Так что иду в обратном направлении. Интересно. Но хочу подчеркнуть, определяющим для себя считаю эволюцию.
