Born in 1966, art has always been an integral part of my life. The pleasure of writing has always been joined by that of drawing and painting as well as photography.
Painting is one facet, another of language, where dreams and imagination come together. I like swirling colors, using whatever comes to hand. The abstract gives me the freedom to explore other approaches. Mix, mix, invent new worlds. Bring color into life. Yet through my paintings a certain reality is discovered, sometimes poetic, sometimes wild which tells us about man, his humanity and his savagery.
The drawing, the fluidity of the pencil line which runs on the paper in arabesques which make us discover another form of poetry. Felt too, freely inspired by tribal motifs to create mosaics, supernatural beings. Nature is omnipresent there. An animal bestiary, a bit fantastic, strange and mysterious portraits. Unique blend for each work.
Photography is about capturing a unique moment where the sky and the landscape inspire us with a moment of harmony. We know that that moment, with that light, we will never find them again. The colors of the seasons, constantly changing and renewed for the pleasure of our eyes. I want to save these fleeting moments for the joy of other eyes.
