Juana Sabina Ortega est née dans l’immense capitale du Mexique, mais ses origines prennent racine dans l’état rural d’Hidalgo. Elle passe son enfance et son adolescence dans le quartier de Buena Vista dans la Ville du Mexique avant de prendre à ses 17 ans le chemin des Beaux Arts à l’Université Nationale Autonome du Mexique (UNAM). Elle y reçoit une formation en Arts Visuels et se spécialise en gravure, peinture, dessin.
A la fin de ses études en 2010
En 2015, au terme de ce long voyage, elle se rend pour la première fois en Europe puis au Maroc, pays qui a profondément inspiré sa peinture. Elle vit actuellement en France en région parisienne.
En constante évolution, son œuvre abondante englobe aussi bien des représentations introspectives très sombres que des tableaux débordants de couleurs vives, toujours empreints d'onirisme. Son travail ne saurait se résumer à aucun courant artistique, aucun format pré-établi, il est avant tout le fruit de l’absolue sincérité de l’artiste.
