Roger Cornet, artist photographer with a rich and varied background, was born in 1931. After serving several years in the French Navy, he began his artistic exploration as a student of "The Famous Photographers School". His journey has led him to various creative horizons.
After his experience in the French Navy, RGL Cornet discovered his passion for photography and the visual arts. He first exercised his talents as the 1st lighting manager at the Crazy Horse Saloon, where he contributed to creating unique visual atmospheres for five years. Subsequently, he directed his talents towards documentaries by making a captivating film about Aubervilliers.
His involvement in the world of cinema was not limited to photography. He also worked as director of photography on the feature film "Les Récifs" by Antoine Tudal and as cinematographer on "Le Buffet Henri II" by Jacques Robiolle.
Roger Cornet was an active and passionate member of the Point Zéro club, participating in the prestigious Coupe de France de Photographie, a competition bringing together the 30 best French photographic clubs. At the same time, he contributed to the Atlas-Photo agency, thus marking his impact in the field of professional photography.
His career also led him to work for a decade in the audio-visual department of the National Building Federation, highlighting his photographic expertise in a specific professional context.
For seven years, Roger Cornet was the official photographer at the Batimat and Interclima trade shows, capturing the essence and evolution of these major events in the construction industry.
Today, he turns to abstract photography, exploring new forms of visual expression that transcend convention. Despite the years gone by, Roger Cornet does not consider his passion as a simple retirement. His continued involvement in the world of photography attests to his unwavering dedication to visual art.
