L'artiste travaille d'après les photographies mises à disposition par les observatoires astronomiques et notamment le télescope spatial Hubble. Sous le pinceau, les objets du cosmos se transforment en peintures cosmiques révélant une figuration personnelle tout en maintenant une proximité avec la réalité des originaux, associant ainsi les merveilles naturelles de notre galaxie aux entités fantastiques issues de l'imagination.
Born in 1955, Christian Rolland is a self-taught painter who in the term of personal searches was able to express on paintings his passion for the astronomy. The artist works according to photos put at the disposal by astronomical observatories in particular space telescope Hubble. Under the brush, the objects of the cosmos are transformed into cosmic paints revealing a personal representation while maintaining a proximity with the reality of originals, so associating the natural marvels of our galaxy with the fantastic entities stemming from the imagination.
