LaSirene, the Goddess of the Ocean, mystery of the deep blue… She is the ultimate Goddess of Vodou magic, beauty and love, presented here with all her attributes of the mirror, comb, shell, as well as the Veve (the magical sign) of the lwa LaSirene, and her husband Agwe. She is the guardian of the treasure in the deep blue sea.

I painted her spontaneously, her image just appeared on the canvas from under my brush, and later I had to divine and meditate who she was. Interesting how it happens1 Read More

LaSirene, the Goddess of the Ocean, mystery of the deep blue… She is the ultimate Goddess of Vodou magic, beauty and love, presented here with all her attributes of the mirror, comb, shell, as well as the Veve (the magical sign) of the lwa LaSirene, and her husband Agwe. I painted her spontaneously, her image just appeared on the canvas from under my brush, and later I had to divine and meditate who she was. Interesting how it happens sometimes, as if some entities are standing by to be painted.
