Having suffered from Charcot's disease since March 2013, I stopped painting manually. I discovered the eye control, and the possibility of painting with the eyes several years ago. I have been totally paralyzed since then and I can no longer speak, but thanks to my eye control, I can paint again.
Originally from Lomme (near Lille), I draw punctually and spontaneously since always.
Having taken a few acrylic painting lessons during my stay in Guadeloupe, it was really my arrival in Toulouse, in September 2002, which was decisive . I bought all my equipment there and took more classes there (painting, drawing on a life model, modeling, etc.).
Since then, I have exhibited my works, all of first in a collective in a Toulouse gallery, then during personal exhibitions in Toulouse bars and restaurants.
From the start of the 2006 school year, I was selected in numerous art fairs in Toulouse and its surroundings.
Little by little my passion becomes more professional: my paintings are exhibited in consignment galleries and I recently participated in the “111 des arts” of Lyon – exhibition for the benefit sick children.
My painting really came to light a year ago during work on the creation of a bullfight poster.
My gesture was freed: while previously I was looking for resemblance, I started working on movement, light and the play of colors.
I especially like oppositions: light / dark, stillness / movement, blur / sharpness, etc… On a light, luminous, calm background, I will try to make a character appear, as if coming from nowhere.
My work is essentially done from the backgrounds: the mixture of colors, the search for light, textures… and then I let the painting reveal the subject to me. In general it appears alone.
Painting artist listed as Drouot.
