Through my works I want to share the emotion I feel in front of my model.
Jean Pierre Picheny is a contemporary French artist. A passion for sculpture appeared late but which Jean Pierre Picheny nurtured at the same time as he pursued his career as an associate professor in a technical college. After ten years in various workshops to master the techniques relating to sculpture, he has been pursuing his work in his studio for 20 years.
Figurative bronze sculptures, as well as from more modern various materials like resins, but also photography, realistic imprints on the human body, as well as a collection of abstract casted prints, new lamps projects, there is no end to his work research.

Toute l'inspiration vient d'un travail d’atelier en face-à-face avec un modèle.
L'artiste travaille avec des croquis à la mine de plomb, puis des ébauches en terre.
Il réalise ensuite l'original en terre crue qui sera ensuite moulée pour réaliser un premier plâtre.
Après réalisation d'un moule en élastomère, cela débouche sur des œuvres en résine ou en bronze, peintes ou patinées.

Ces sculptures ont été obtenues à partir d’empreintes réalisées sur des personnes.
Le résultat va de la main au corps entier (“Kelly tient son pied”), voire de parties du corps impossibles à identifier à première vue.
Ce travail peut être effectué à la demande sur une personne, par exemple une femme enceinte.
Une vidéo montrant le procédé de travail peut être visionnées pour le “Vase Q” dans cette galerie.

Au cours du processus de création d’une sculpture, on réalise souvent des esquisses en terre.
Ensuite, on réalise des sculptures plus grandes et plus travaillées, mais l’esquisse ayant séché à l’air libre reste très intéressante.
On y voit l’intention, parfois avec une grande intensité. On y perçoit fortement la main et l’outil du sculpteur.
Souvent, ces esquisses restent sur les étagères de l’artiste, mais celui-ci a décidé d’en vendre quelques-unes pour notre plus grand plaisir.

L'expo Picheny comme si vous y étiez !
Jean Pierre Picheny présente son travail du 6 au 31 octobre 2021.
Présent les mercredi et samedi de 14h à 18h et les dimanche de 10h à 18h.
L’artiste réalisera des bustes et des moulages devant les visiteurs pendant l’exposition.

Jean Pierre Picheny présente à nouveau ses créations dans le cadre du Manoir de Procé.
Sculpteur passionné par la beauté des femmes, ses sculptures exaltent la sensualité et subliment les corps féminins.
Il pratique le modelage, la taille, le moulage sur corps. Seront présentés des moulages, des lampes d'art, des bronzes et des marbres.

Un long processus de création
Je voudrais partager mes coups de cœur, mes idées de génie ou farfelues, et l'aboutissement des mes travaux dans les œuvres terminées.
Commençons par un travail en cours débuté il y a plus d'un an !
Le "MEUBLE HUMAIN".
Il s'agit d'une pièce réaliste représentant un corps tronqué, qui puisse servir de soubassement pour une table basse, mais aussi de siège . Voila l'idée de départ avec un premier modèle :
Et puis j'ai continué avec un second modèle... Attention, pas de moulage ici, seulement du modelage :
On peut apercevoir en arrière plan la sculpture en terre.
J'ai fait aussi des maquettes en taille réduite, qui existent maintenant sous forme de presse livre en bronze, ou en résine transparente.
Et j'ai fait un premier tirage dans un moule élastomère de la grande sculpture. La couleur n'est pas définitive.
Et maintenant la patine bronze foncé.
