Johanna Marie Schimming is a contemporary German artist and textile designer. Always drawn between art and design, she won numerous awards as a designer and also as a painter.

Johanna Marie Schimming was born in 1988, in Germany. She lives and works in Paris, as an Embroidery Designer for Haute Couture Fashion, at the same time as developing her personal abstract expression as a compensatory practice to the very accurate and figurative designs of embroidery.
