Joany Régibier is a contemporary French artist who completed his studies at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Bourges in 2007. In 2009, he began exploring watercolor with coffee as his medium of choice. Over the years, he has showcased his art in various exhibitions, including Châteauroux in 2010, Rome in 2011, Toulouse in 2013, and London and Pau in 2021. Currently, he continues to exhibit regularly in the vicinity of Pau and Tarbes. Notably, Joany Régibier was awarded the 1st prize at the London Coffee Art Festival in September 2021.

His watercolor creations are regarded as wondrous depictions of mythical stars set against a coffee-hued sky. Iconic figures such as Kubrick, Simone, Hendrix, and Baudelaire come to life as whimsical, cloud-like forms, occasionally verging on the edge of abstraction.

The artist takes delight in allowing chance to play a role in the final composition of his portraits. Although his work is thoughtfully planned in advance, the medium of coffee acts as a marvelous filter, adding an element of surprise and serendipity to the artistic process.
