self-taught, Jean Marie Tresse has assimilated, over the years, very different artistic techniques, which he now uses in a combined way in what he calls
Mixture of genres and tools, inspirations and crossing explorations of spirit and matter...Considering diversity as an essential part of himself, he claims it in his signature.What he traces at the bottom of a painting in capital letters, JMMIXT, is the trademark of the links he weaves with the world, of what he weaves! He also affirms his personal commitment to creation.
For many years, Jean-Marie Tresse has explored a subtle inner world whose paths are abstract surrealist, even invisible to everyone's eyes. But it is the result of a sharing, of a diversity, between his attraction to fantastic space, out of reach, at the confines of our universe, and its attraction for minerals. For him, precious stones correspond to exo-planets and other stellar pebbles. It evokes the strange and almost mystical forms of distant galaxies. invokes the singularities of the vast Universe. It traces bizarre shapes. It fixes movements of space. of ephemeral eternities
