At first very influenced by comic strips, Jhano worked there in his early youth then moved more specifically towards sculpture by joining ENSAAMA Olivier de Serres, in Paris. There he obtained a DMA in sculpture applied to synthetic materials, having followed, in particular, the teaching of Jean-Louis Sauvat. At the end of this course of study, he worked in crafts and entertainment and shared his know-how somewhat within associations. Above all, he remains driven by a vital need to create and share what he produces, hence his binge on exhibitions. We can discover him as a painter, sculptor or designer, in turn or in concert.
He left Paris in 2009 for Toulouse, where he discovered an artistic and cultural dynamism conducive to the evolution of his art, doubly exponential since his arrival.

We detect various influences in Jhano's work, a mixture of pop and classical at the same time. This observation is quite logical if we look at the artist's career. Both influenced by comics (from the drawings of Gotlib or Franquin to the superheroes of Marvel and DC comics), having also been influenced by training in the arts, when the two meet, it looks like this that Jhano creates. When the shapeless plastic of the hanger becomes a figurative sculpture, when pastel and felt combine on canvas with acrylic and cardboard. We could see a successful meeting between Rodin and Jack Kirby.
Jhano also works from a major driving force for him, musical. We note an initial very Rock inspiration, notably with the series of exhibitions “Music on my mind”. This began with the painting of the music of the Spirit of the Clan, Lofofora or the Bukowskis (2009-2010), today added by the Canaille or Noktambules. In this spirit of openness, naturally, Jazz, Blues, Classical and many other styles knock on the door and are warmly welcomed by his brushes.
