I have been a largely self taught Artist most of my adult life creating Portraits, Murals and other Decorative artwork. In the late 90s I found a Master I wanted to study with and trained for a year in France with renowned Realist Painter, Ted Seth Jacobs. This gave me a grip on techniques which made it much easier to get across the message I want to convey in any piece. My Portrait work has included numerous commissions over the last 15 years in the UK, Europe and the US. Commissions include Series Portrait work for the CBS Television network in Los Angeles and in 2014 I was commissioned  to do a 20 person Portrait of Canadian rapper "Drake", with family and friends. Seeking to make a living through Fine Art alone can be a tough road and for 8 years I was a Studio Artist for "Dragons of Walton Street" bespoke designers and creators of children's high-end hand painted furniture. I gained there a graphic, illustrative touch to my style which has carried over into my work now. I work mainly in Oils and Pencils; occasionally Water colour and Acrylic. I love painting the natural world according to my own vision which includes a little added magic. Imagination definitely plays a role for me though I do like to have a grounding in Realism.
