I am a passionate artist focused on printmaking and sculpture. I was exposed to art at a young age as I spent my early years in the studio with my late father, Nasser AlYousif, a pioneer of Arab art. He taught me the patience and process necessary to create good art: guiding me through the creative process of planning, creation, to the fruition of that initial vision. His guidance shaped the way I approach not only my art but also my life, with careful planning and execution.
While I love printmaking, I find that sculpture has its own unique challenges that make it the medium
I find most enjoyable. The way in which stubborn materials give way to determination and skill is very satisfying. I have experimented with many materials, such as glass, bronze, clay, granite and marble. Each has its own set of requirements that I find fascinating.

Biography
// Born in Manama, Bahrain / Lives and works in Bahrain
Studied Electrical Engineering and Minored in Art with an emphasis on Sculpture from Cogswell Polytechnic School and College of Marin, San Francisco, USA.
Principal Creative Director at his own Graphic Design and Environmental Design agency since 1994.
Designed and executed many large and small exhibitions and spaces, including; Sotheby’s (Doha), Um Kalthoum-The Fourth Pyramid (Bahrain-Kuwait), The Olympics exhibition –The Olympics Past & Present (Doha), National Bank of Kuwait Corporate Museum (Kuwait), 100 Years History Of Education In Kuwait, The Arab Games Exhibition (Doha), Horse Games, Horse Sports (Doha), The Arab World Festival - John F. Kennedy Centre for the Performing Arts, Washington D.C., USA, and many others.
Helped in the curation and display of many art exhibitions held at Albareh Art Gallery

The exhibition is the response of the artist community to an open call by the Shaikh Ebrahim Center. Reflecting on the recent and ongoing social lockdown due to the covid-19 pandemic, this exhibition brings together artists in Bahrain through the shared power of their individual experiences and expressions.
