Iryna Kitaieva is a contemporary artist living and working in Zurich, Switzerland. She began her artistic journey in 2003, studying painting at the Odessa Art School Grekov. In 2009, she expanded her expertise by studying architecture at the Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. After graduation, she actively participated in both Ukrainian and international exhibitions, showcasing her distinctive style.
Iryna's work is influenced by Abstract Expressionism and Figurative Art, and she is known for her original mixed technique, applying undiluted paint directly onto canvas or panel. She often uses a palette knife to create a three-dimensional effect, mixing paint on the canvas itself to achieve the desired color balance. Her vibrant, impasto abstract paintings are inspired by a deep love of nature and aim to express emotions and thoughts through layered compositions.
Iryna's complex abstract works are held in collections across the world, including in France, Germany, Greece, the United Arab Emirates, Sweden, Spain, Great Britain, the USA, India, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein.
