Ha fatto apprendistato in età giovanile presso un pittore conterraneo Brialdi. Nel 1936-37 affina la sua tecnica perché conosce e successivamente frequenta Umberto Folli. Nel 1945-46 sempre assieme a Folli prendono in affitto uno studio a Massa Lombarda (Ravenna). Più tardi acuisce ancor più la tecnica dell’Arte e matura la sua personalità frequentando sia l’Accademia di Belle Arti di Ravenna per 4-5 anni sotto la guida del prof. Teodoro Orselli poi la scuola di Arti e Mestieri sempre sotto la guida di U. Folli. Il suo esordio pubblico è avvenuto nel 1952 in occasione della Mostra D’Arti Figurative, Festa de L’Unità Imola (Bologna) classificandosi 1°. Ha successivamente allestito diverse mostre personali, collettive, e antologiche. Ha ricevuto importanti premi tra i principali la Medaglia D’Oro II Biennale di Pittura Estemporanea Valle del Senio CASOLA VALSENIO (Ravenna) 1971, e la “Caveja Romagnola d’Oro” a FUSIGNANO (Ravenna).
La critica è stata molto positiva nei suio confronti.
