MY NAME IS INA MELNIK
I'm a visionary artist, fashion designer, and art-therapist
I was born and raised in Belarus, where I received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Belarussian Academy of Art and Design. After completing my education, I worked as a graphic designer and muralist, engaging in various projects ranging from corporate identity to murals. Since 2014, I have traveled extensively around the globe, drawing inspiration from diverse cultures. In 2018, I relocated to Asia, where I gained a profound understanding of the harmony between self, nature, and surroundings. Currently, Ina's artistic focus revolves around creating sacred geometry and visionary art, including mandalas, patterns, geometric installations, and textile design.
As a universal symbol of harmony, the mandala serves as an intersection point for art, science, and religion. In my creative process, I start with a black background, representing nothingness and chaos—the primordial state before reason emerged. I then establish a structure as the logos, an objective and organizing principle of consciousness. From there, I follow the subjective feeling of beauty, improvising spontaneous lines and forms. Using a brush and whitener, the drawing gradually reveals itself, with the final result becoming visible within minutes. I enhance the drawing with accents using acrylic paint. This technique combines reason and intuition, chaos and order, resulting in a representation of wholeness and harmony—an integration of logical and spontaneous manifestation.
One of the applied functions of the mandala is harmonization. Creating and contemplating forms infused with sacred principles helps quiet the flow of thoughts, while imperfect symmetry promotes relaxation. Meditating on such a mandala becomes a symbolic journey towards finding wholeness. By employing art as a tool, I strive to create forms that not only evoke relaxation and enjoyment but also connect viewers with their center, their place in the world, and their role within it.
