Hoflehner

Rudolf Hoflehner, born in 1916 in Linz, died in 1995 in Italy, was one of the world-famous sculptors of the 20th century. He took part in the Documenta in Kassel three times and received the Austrian State Prize. His works are represented in numerous museums. From 1968 to 1985 he worked as a painter and etcher and did not create any sculptures, which is unique in its radicalness. His art is without excuses, great in its harshness, great also in its truthfulness.
