This is an original oil painting, completed in February 2019, on a 11 x 14 inch heavy-duty stretched canvas with 1.25 inch gallery-wrapped edges which are painted red. Initialed on the front, and signed, titled and dated on the back. The back is wired so you can hang it right up as soon as you unwrap it!
Based in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains in Western Massachusetts, I paint cats in both anthropomorphic and more natural poses, in a naive self-taught style of glazed oil painting that I have developed over a period of about 30 years.

In what seems like another life, I also worked as an archaeologist for many years and have a degrees in anthropology and American Civilization. I love old houses, vintage household goods, needlework, color, animals and just about anything that is handmade with love and care.
