Gilles Hancotte
Born in Reims in 1949, it is only in 2000, following a trip to Florence, that Gilles developed an interest in painting. This trip was key in giving him the desire to develop his skills in the art of drawing.
Gilles soon became more confident in his artistic abilities and the hobby turned into a real passion. This led him to expand his knowledge, visiting various museums and exhibitions and enabled his skills to develop further.
Gilles attended various Art Classes before finally joining the “Amis de Montmartre” painting group in Issoudun (Indre).
Constantly evolving, self taught, but inspired by the current impressionist movement, his aim is to constantly widen his field of investigation , with for only objective to produce increasingly mature paintings.
