Günter Leiter, a contemporary Austrian painter, defies the ordinary with his distinctive artistic approach. While primarily working with oil painting, he ventures into experimentation, seamlessly incorporating charcoal, graphite, and pastel colors into his creations. Striving to embody the mantra of "everything but ordinary," Günter diverges from convention by choosing raw linen, instead of a white primed painting surface, as the foundation for his artworks. This unconventional choice harmonizes uniquely with the interplay of oil, charcoal, and graphite in his compositions.
Despite lacking formal art training, Günter Leiter's artistic journey began with doodling using a pencil during his school days. However, color exploration did not come until 2016 when he produced notable works such as "Horny Teddy" and "Motivation for penetration."
Following a hiatus until February 2018, Günter Leiter returned to the canvas with renewed vigor. Juggling his artistic pursuits alongside a professional career demanded time and space, but a change of residence infused him with a fresh burst of energy. It was during this period that he began shaping the distinctive style that now defines his works, making each creation uniquely recognizable as a Günter (Günta). His art, marked by a fusion of mediums and unconventional surfaces, stands as a testament to the artist's unwavering commitment to innovation and creative exploration.
