I am from Medellin, Colombia, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Teaching Art degree in 1992 from the University of Antioquia. I started showing my work in 1989 at the Salon of Young Art, the Museum of Antioquia and many other exhibitions in recent years in Colombia. My first show here was in The Unites States, in the Hispanic Heritage at the Museum of the Americas in Miami, where I received an Honorable Mention for my painting "Giron, Santander."
I like to use vibrant colors that represent the culture of my native country. I am especially attracted to the color, light and the atmosphere found in nature. My work is about my emotional and spiritual connection with her.
