Giovanni De Luca Biography

Giovanni De Luca Italian artist, painter, sculptor, and actor of italian fiction and in some films , teacher of art history, born in Rome in 1943, his mother was a Lady descending from a noble family, also father family were nobles and artists ,who moved from Calabria to Rome
The art has led Giovanni De Luca ,to his roots , the Calabria, did not resist the recall of wonderful natural park Sila ,all this beauty forced Giovanni De Luca, asking to be transfered, as an art teacher from Rome to Calabria, admired by artists like LORENZO GUERRINI and PAOLO ANGELANI, Giovanni De Luca is an artist who initially ,have been inspired by works of the great classical authors and impressionists. Influenced by the sights and sounds, was greatly Impacted by the natural setting of his Calabria ,he has decided to follow the recall of his soul ... "surrealism symbolic" .... searching himself in the silences of nature. Regarding the level coloristic , he chose the bright colors of Calabria, the limpid blue of sky, the sea, and lakes, the light of the sparkling and uncontaminated Sun, in his unique style he paints these wonderful colors in equal strips, as if he wanted , with these "strips" give to all colors of Calabrian nature equal importance.
His first art exhibition was in 1980 in Calabria, where he shows his art in various galleries until 1986, from 1987 to 1988 in Bergamo from 1989 to 2011 in Rome ,where he won the first prize as the best sculptor, with a sculpture which is at the Embassy of Libya in Rome, two busts of Abbé Pierre (founder of the Emmaus community) including other awards

His works are part of private and public collections
