That evening, the fountain had flowed. We didn't believe it, because we no longer believed it.
We had to get used to thirst and make it a sort of companion, a habit to which we were faithful because it preserved us a good hope of change and in return did not require any effort from us. Some call it renewal, I know this name well and as what is "re" is not really "new" I am not fooled this pleasure will evaporate in its turn. I can already feel my tongue drying again...luckily!
