Biography
Gérard Bertrand est un photographe et un artiste reconnu. Il crée des images en assemblant des éléments de ses propres photographies et en les "mettant en scène" avec des personnages ou des événements d'autres mondes.
En créant des espaces illusionnistes, souvent teintés d'humour poétique et d'un esprit surréaliste, l'auteur de ces visions photographiques espère piquer l'imagination de ses visiteurs et ainsi partager le plaisir.
Gérard Bertrand a commencé sa carrière comme graveur dans l'atelier des Beaux-Arts d'Angers (France) entre 1980 et 1984 et a poursuivi avec la photographie. Ses photographies sont parues dans de nombreux magazines et sur les couvertures de nombreux livres.

En décembre 2017, dans l'Espace d'Art Contemporain de Trélazé, en Anjou, une grande exposition rétrospective de 10 années de création d'images photographiques.
Les séries:
L'Album de Franz Kafka, L'Album de Marcel Proust, L'Album d'Alfred Hitchcock, la Série "PhotoPictus", Rencontres avec Josep Grau-Garriga, Rencontres fortuites en noir et blanc, Rencontres avec Julien Gracq, Rencontres fortuites en couleurs, Manières noires et Entre chien et loup apparaissent un moment ou l'autre dans cette promenade de 3 minutes.

Cette relecture de la chute d'Icare de Breugel est audacieuse et nous propose un fonds de paysage qui s'insère très bien dans la scène ! Bravo Gérard !

Une galerie dédiée au Jazz Be Bop ! C'est assez rare sur Artmajeur pour marquer celle ci d'une pierre blanche d'autant plus que les oeuvres sont toutes passionnantes , bravo !
Formidable évocation. On s'y croirait ! Un traitement très efficace et d'une grande élégance. J'admire !
