The German painter Gerald-M. Stecker (1945-2018) created this atmospheric, very decorative piece of art in March 1991.
The late Gerald-M. was a professional painter since 1965. This painting belongs to a series of works on paper created in the early 90s.
Gerald-M. is renowned for the depth of his expressionist style and for his inimitable technique.

Gerald-Maria Stecker (* July 31st 1945 in Freudenthal, Czechia ; † November 11th 2018 in Augsburg, Germany) was a German painter and designer.

Since 1964, right after high school, Gerald-M. Stecker started living as a freelance, self-taught painter. Besides being a painter, he was also an architectonical and graphic designer. He participated as designer in important architectonical projects. He also worked as a graphic designer in brand creation and marketing in the private sector. 

As a young painter, he quickly got very successful and did many exhibitions. Although he lived many years abroad, he always remained a famous artist in his home town Augsburg and was renowned as painter and designer in South Germany.
