Gérard Allaguillemette is a multidisciplinary artist. He creates abstract images where a figurative world emerges with persistence, where it is a question of fugitive impressions, of past moments which are reborn and confront the present. These impressions are murky, difficult to define, almost monochromatic, fragments of a waiting world.

His palette is sober, it has the colors of the earth, the sea in winter, the skies of autumn and heavy weather, the wet sidewalks of cities in the rain. The media he uses are as diverse as the techniques. Paintings on canvas and/or on paper, inks, digital works, photographs. He sometimes mixes all these media.

Gérard Allaguillemette lives and works between Paris and Finistère. He graduated from ENSAAMA in 1971. Illustrator in various countries, then trainer in graphic arts professions, pursued personal work at the same time, exhibited there, then returned to France and worked as a freelance illustrator. The discovery of new digital tools marked the beginning of a career, mainly as a digital illustrator, but also as a web designer, a multimedia designer, always freelance. In 2012 a choice is essential, that of a return to creation, free and without constraint, as one and only activity.
