Né en 1966 dans les Ardennes, Vincent Libecq obtient le diplôme de sculpteur ornemaniste
à vingt ans, (bois, marbre). Il participe
à la restauration de monuments historiques
pendant dix ans.
Puis il s’installe à Toulouse dans les années 90 où débute la création d’une série personnelle et multiplie les essais autour de l’acier et des métaux.
Libecq artiste authentique est terriblement impliqué
dans son époque : ses métalliques tous formats figuratives
ou abstraites, (brut ou couleur) nous interpellent sur
un des défis de notre époque : comment recycler
les objets usuels de notre quotidien ?
Avec sa Full Metal Exposition, Libecq nous propose
une immersion dans son imaginaire où les objets
de récupération sont transformés en œuvres métalliques.
Il nous invite au : “voyage de la recup à l’œuvre d’art”. C’est ce qu’il nomme sa Mécanique du Rêve.
