Eric Rodriguez Sculpture

Eric Rodriguez was born on July 25, 1974 in Castres.

He began by learning Plastic Arts at the age of 16. First at the “Villa Briguiboul” in Castres, then in Montpellier as well as at the Beaux Arts in Perpignan.

He will encounter wood through carpentry teaching in Aveyron. This allowed him to acquire working methods that complemented his skills and thus asserted himself through sculpture.

Autodidact in this discipline, he practiced for several years alongside his professional activities. He moved into his workshop at the foot of “Mont Caroux” in Hérault in January 2007, under the name “Gouges d’039; Eric” in reference to the nearby “Gorges d'Héric”. After living for a few years in the Alps for professional reasons, he will settle in 2015 again in Hérault in the town of Cabrières at the foot of the Vissou peak. “Les gouges d'eric” will change its name to become “ericrodriguezsculpture”.

Installed since July 2021 in the city of Sète, he continues to express his know-how through new artistic experiences in his workshop.
