PAINTING ON SILK framed. Stretched on a wooden support. This original silk painting is the work of Dominique BANQUET (DB) author of the book "panels in painting on silk" published by Fleurus editions in the 80s. The architecture of the manor exists and is located in Auvergne in Gerzat near Clermont Ferrand hence its title. unfortunately today the park, sold, ransacked has been denatured and invaded by a subdivision hence this surrealist interpretation of the places

Après deux ans passés à l'école des Beaux arts de Toulouse, j'ai intégré l'éducation nationale en tant que professeur d'art appliqués dans un lycée technique après le concours prépa ENSET & ENNA.
Dans les années 80 j'ai participé par hasard à un concours national de peinture sur soie (Premier prix) ;un éditeur m'a alors proposé d'écrire un livre (panneaux en peinture sur soie, éditions Fleurus diffusé à 40 000 exemplaires et encore vendu sur internet) sur ma technique et les thèmes abordés.
Aujourd'hui retraité je participe comme je l'ai toujours fait de manière très occasionnelle à quelques expositions, mais je peins surtout pour mon propre plaisir, dans ma région natale d'Occitanie.
