Russian Samovar Painting by Dmitry Kabaev from April 1992. Dmitry Kabaev (1966–2006) is a russian painter who used to be a member of the international federation of artists under UNESCO. Since 1991 he exhibited his art works at different picture-shows including one arranged by my mom in Moscow (As a fine art expert she used to arrange traveling displays Russia-wide picking up the most talented art works by Sovjet artists. Having a sharp feel for talents my mom discovered many up-and-comers who now have proved the rightness of her choice. And Dmitry Kabaev was among whose artists.) The art work was acquired by our family. Now art works by Dmitry Kabaev are to be found in private collections here in Russia and abroad. Insights into Samovar history: Samovar is a purely Russian invention. It is used for making tea. Samovars were made out of cupronickel, red and green copper, pinchbeck, and in special cases - out of silver. Some samovars were plated with gold or silver, but brass was always the basic metal. In the course of the centuries samovar shapes changed. By the end of the 19th century the number of samovar types reached 165. Samovar was and I would say remains the symbol of Russian hospitality and a feature of home comfort. And samovars are still produced in Russia. They are often viewed not only as domestic utensils, but also as real works of applied arts. Each true samovar master always wanted to astonish his customers by his creativity. Those who view this bright still life by a wonderful painter Dmitry Kabaev are astonished by the picturesqueness and beauty of this Samovar-piece. Please note that Colors, which are displayed on your monitors may a little bit differ from actual shades of work. It depends on the calibration, settings, and color rendering of your display. A collector's piece of art! This art work will be provided with a Certificate of Authenticity in the form of a special license obtained from certified experts of fine arts. This will also be used as an accompanying document for customs purposes like an art of shipment permission (cost for license obtaining already included into the art work price!) In case of Russia original authentic art work (painting, drawing etc) may not leave Russian state boundaries without special license testifying both authenticity of art work and the fact that this or that particular art work isn't cultural object of Russia! So you may be calm: you get only authentic paintings and drawings, for this the license attached to the parcel !! In light of this I would like to draw your attention to the fact that we simply can not ship quick. If you see a particular time period before the order is shipped and it is a rather great while don't wonder at it! For art works not older than 50 years it takes about 1-3 working days to get the necessary shipment permission. Of course all paintings are professionally packed! (and packaging cost already included into the art work shipment price!) If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me. I will be happy to provide the necessary information!
