She was sitting on a stone bench in a square framed by a shopping street and a church. There was some neon light around. At first I thought she was praying. Everything outside the focus of her concentration seemed a little grey and unreal. Eventually I realised it was an illusion and she was actually examining her nail varnish.

David Callahan has lived, worked and travelled in Britain, Germany, France, most of Europe, North and South America and Asia. He has always been an artist and a student of art history. He won his first prize for art at the age of eight, participates in group exhibitions and has been featured in a Saatchi collection. He is a member of the International Society of Acrylic Painters.
David admires the work of Lyonel Feininger and Giorgio de Chirico among others. He works in acrylic, oils and digital media, producing abstracts, landscapes, portraits and figurative works.
His most recent exhibition opened in September 2018 in Florence, Italy.
