My emotions, my sensibilities guide me. Human complexity in its ambivalence between appearance and interiority lies at the heart of my artistic expression. The duality, the complementarity of the human being makes each one a unique being. I like to catch those eyes of the moment, those moments of sincerity, of authenticity, between strength and fragility, sometimes struggling in contradiction. The difference of individuals: a wealth, a strength, while our strong social markers in individualism, judgment, division, opposition are omnipresent.
We live in a world where it is difficult to find a place, where freedoms are often violated, where a quest for what is essential is necessary.
My series «Generation Selfie» is imbued with this revealing social marker, mirror of our epoch, a new type of image, vector of emotions, creative, expressionist, ephemeral, showing mostly happiness, with a willingness to share, wanting to mark the moment in the emergency, an accelerating phenomenon of a generation seeking its place, with in its heart a fragility, masking a fear of the present and the future.
