Je m’appelle Stephane CUNY, natif d’Alger en 1957, Ne sachant pas encore marcher, je jouais avec du fils et des aiguilles (je cousais !) et j’aimais le brio des couleurs. Je me voulais devenir tailleur sur mesure pour homme. Mais nul ne peut imaginer son destin, car comme d’autres, la vie m’a conduit à vers d’autres chemins. Alors que je n’ai que vingt-deux ans, j’expose pour la première fois au Salon des Indépendants en 1979, et ce Pendant dix années. Ainsi chaque saison je montrais au public, le fruit de mon travail lors de ce Salon au Grand Palais des Champs-Élysées.
A l’aube de mes trente ans, en 1987, un nouveau tournant professionnel me conduit vers l’étranger. J’y visite des espaces merveilleux et rencontre de talentueux et spirituels interlocuteurs ainsi que je l'invoque dans mon site Internet (l’homme aux pieds de caoutchouc), un espace Internet dans lequel j'expose mes voyages en images. Depuis 2001, retour en France dans mon cocon familial. Mais n’en doutez pas, je reprendrai mes valises, pinceaux, y compris ma machine à coudre pour aller rencontrer de nouveaux horizons.

My name is Stéphane CUNY and I was born in Algiers, on October 14th, 1957. My father passed away when I was six months. I could walk at the age of seven. Thanks to a surgeon who operates my ankles and realised a bone graft. At the age fourteen I studied tailor trade for men and learnt to draw. My teacher was a member of the “Independent Artists Society” in Paris. In 1979, I participated for the first time to the same exhibition as my teacher. In twenty nine years my life changed and I settle down in Nantes and I changed profession.
Then at the age of thirty-nine years I travelled trough Central Europe and was desperately in love with this region, so rich in art. Finally, in forty-nine years, I picked up again my paintbrushes and my colours, while I achieved “The Miracle of Saint Sylvester”.

Mein Name ist Stéphane CUNY. Ich wurde am 14. Oktober 1957 in Algier geboren. Als ich sechs Monate alt war, starb mein Vater. Schon als Kind wurde ich sehr begabt zu nähen und zu malen. Bis sieben Jahre war ich gehbehindert. Noch in diesem Alter wurde bei mir eine Knochentransplantation unternommen, die mir ermöglicht hat noch mal zu gehen
1972 – 1975 Ich habe das Schneiderhandwerk für Menschen und das malen gelernt. Mein Zeichenprofessor war eine Aussteller im der „Salon des Indépendants in Paris“.
1979 – 1987, ich habe meine Malerei in diese Messe, mit meinem Professor gestellt.
1987, kam ich in Nantes, mit meiner Familie.
1997 – 2001, wurde ich nach Wien (Österreich) versetzt, so lernte ich die Stadt und das Land kennen und verliebt mich in sie
2007, verwirklichte ich meinem Wunsch, ich fing weiter an zu malen und zwar „Wunder vom Heiligem Sylvester“ verwirkliche.

Mi chiamo Stephane CUNY e sono nato ad Algeri, il 14 ottobre 1957. Mio padre muore mentre ho l'eta di sei mesi. Posso camminare in piedi all'eta di sette anni, grazie ad un chirurgo che mi opera le caviglie e realizza un innesto osseo. A quattordici anni imparo il mestiere di sarto per uomo e prendo dei corsi di disegno. Il mio professore è socio degli Artisti indipendenti. A ventidue anni - e per quasi dieci anni - espongo per la prima volta nello stesso salone che il mio professore di disegno. A ventinove anni la mia vita cambia e mi installo a Nantes, Allora dipingo i miei mobili A trentanove anni percorro l'Europa Centrale e sono disperatamente innamorato di questa regione, ricco in arte. A quarantanove anni, trovo i miei pennelli ed i miei colori, mentre realizzo “il miracolo di san silvestre.

A new workshop of the painter will be inaugurated at 13 route from Vannes, 44100 Nantes in the first quarter of 2009.

En septembre 2009, une nouvelle association d'artistes professionnels est née.
Son siège est à Héric en Loire Atlantique et une exposition printannière est prévue en mars 2010, au premier jour du printemps.
