Frédéric Martin is a contemporary award-winning French artist. Martin believes that to paint, one ‘masters the accident towards the visible, between illusion and truth, towards mystery. The artist confronts and examines the core themes of humanity through his work: man's relationship with himself and others, the world around him, and himself. Martin's graphical technique is purposefully rooted in art history while remaining contemporary. He works with oils on linen.

He produces numerous graphic creations for cultural events in collaboration with the cities of Paris, Bar-le-Duc, Montreuil-Sur-Mer, Verdun. At the same time, he develops a more confidential personal pictorial work, a kind of private diary. In recent years, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to his pictorial work, participates in numerous artistic events and develops personal exhibitions. In 2016 he won the first drawing prize at the Salon de Sainte Maure de Touraine and in 2017 he won the BOESNER Trophy.

Frédéric Martin was born in 1964, in France, where he graduated at the National School of Applied Arts and Crafts in Paris.

The Artist was highlighted in an article in Artmajeur Magazine:
