Undoubtedly, some of the postulates of quantum mechanics have important coincidences with some of the principles of Buddhism and Mayan cosmogony, some of which are more than 2,500 years old. The simple human curiosity and the search for the truth make us wonder about this and think that perhaps Mayans and Buddhists, practiced perhaps the most penetrating discipline in its investigation of the nature of cosmos and the mind that man knows and touched deep truths, that by another method today we are confirming. This second painting with the broken pots of dark holes, are one of my tribute to their wisdom-

Claudia Fuentes de Lacayo, SHORT BIO
Born in Nicaragua, Central America, she studied at National School of Fine Arts, Managua, Nicaragua. Special Art Courses at Catholic University, Santiago, Chile. Engraving at Nemesio Antúnez Atlelier 99, Santiago, Chile. Her artwork deals about the unconscious of Mesoamerican people that survives at the ceramic pot, the broken ceramic bowl and the clay figurine buried under the structures of Western culture. With her brush and palette knife she models each piece as if it were clay, and she discovers it as an archaeologist under the walls of Western Culture Epistemology. She has had 17 solo exhibitions in Nicaragua, Guatemala, USA, Chile and Costa Rica and 63 group participations in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Spain, Chile, China, El Salvador, and USA. She has been awarded at the 1st Central American Biennial at San Salvador; recognition in “Between Centuries”, Central American Contemporary Art Book, by Fundación Rozas Botrán and as a Master of Nicaraguan Art, National Culture Palace, Managua, Nicaragua. Her artwork was just published in the XI International Contemporary Masters curated by Despina Tunberg, edited by Worldwide Art Books and exhibited at Las Vegas Art Museum in 2017. Her works belong to private and public collections in many countries. She is a member of WEAD, Women Eco Artists Dialog, California, USA and Decolonial Art Projects, Arteresponsable Centroamericano and attained recently the Galileo Galilei International Award and the Cristoforo Colombo International Award.
