Born in 1983, Clarisse Lamotte is a French painter and designer, living and working in France. Her work, imbued with an impressionist sensibility, is distinguished by the use of pencil and watercolor on paper, where black and white skies, fish ponds, as well as plants and flowers become recurring motifs in her artistic research.
Trained in the tradition of the Lyon masters, Clarisse Lamotte began her career teaching art while working in various cultural structures in eastern Lyon. Her love of art led her to give lectures on the history of art, emphasizing the importance of transmitting knowledge between generations. Her works, imbued with subtle poetry, capture the ephemeral beauty of the moment and the quiet strength of everyday life. Each stroke, each touch of color is an attempt to capture the fleeting emotion that animates her gaze, transcending the landscapes and faces she represents.
Over the years, Clarisse Lamotte has been awarded several times by the Arts-Sciences-Lettres society in Paris. In 2017, she received the Silver Medal Diploma, in 2013 the Tin Medal Diploma, and in 2011 the Bronze Medal Diploma, testifying to the recognition of her talent and her contribution to contemporary art.
