Cette œuvre représente une révolte contre la tyrannie actuelle du bonheur. Le bonheur qu’on doit tous afficher, hommes et femmes, pour répondre aux exigences de la société. Ma conviction profonde est que la tristesse est absolument nécessaire pour atteindre la joie du bonheur, car elle nous amène vers des questionnements sur la vie, sur soi-même, les autres, nous permet de mieux se connaitre, nous permet d’évoluer. Ma conviction est qu’il n’y a pas des émotions positives ou négatives, il y a juste des émotions qui portent un message, un message que beaucoup trop souvent nous ignorons sous le prétexte que ça nous rend triste. Cette tristesse nous fait peur et nous passons ainsi peut être à côté des moments clefs de notre vie, des moments de vrai bonheur que nous ne connaitrons jamais car nous n’avons pas eu le courage d’accueillir et entendre le message de cette tristesse…
